The GTR rating
Your Global Tennis Rating sits on the GTR 1.00–16.50 scale and updates after every rated match — challenges, leagues, and tournaments. Singles and doubles are rated separately by play type, and casual hits are tracked without touching your official rating.

A GTR 6.4 in London is the same skill as a GTR 6.4 in New York — your rating travels with you, club to club, city to city.

How matches are scored
GlobalRSC's live-scoring engine runs the full tennis cascade — points to games to sets to match — and clubs choose the format that fits their event:
- Ad or no-ad game scoring
- Set tiebreaks at games-all — to 5, 7, or 10 points
- Best of 1, 3, or 5 sets, with 4, 6, or 8 games per set
- Final-set options including a 10-point match tiebreak
Scores update point by point, so teammates and family can follow every game live.

What is a GTR rating?

Do casual matches change my rating?
No. Casual matches are tracked in your history but don't affect your official rating. Rated play — challenges, leagues, and tournaments — is what moves your GTR.
Does my rating work at other clubs?
Yes. A GTR is the same scale at every GlobalRSC club — your rating and match record travel with you when you play somewhere new.
Is GlobalRSC free for tennis players?
Yes — free during beta. Recording matches, seeing your own rating, and local ladders stay free; the optional Competitive Pass ($59/yr) adds verified ratings and global leaderboards.
